The squat game
Flappy Bird, but you squat to steer. Your hips are the controller: squat down and the bird drops, stand up and it climbs.

How the squat game works
Flappy Reps tracks the height of your hips in the camera image and maps it onto the bird. Pipe gaps come at different heights, so some need a deep squat, some a half squat and some a full stand. It turns a set of squats into a game of timing and control instead of counting.
Before each run the game watches one full squat to learn your range, so it adapts to your height and depth.
Setting up
- Open flappyreps.com and allow the camera.
- Prop your phone or laptop at about waist height, facing you.
- Step back until your hips are clearly in frame, ideally your whole body.
- Do one full squat to calibrate, then play.
Tip: wear clothes that contrast with the background so the camera can find your hips easily.
Questions
Is there a game you control with squats?
Yes. In Flappy Reps' squat mode your camera tracks your hips: squat and the bird drops, stand up and it rises through the pipes. It runs in your browser on a phone or laptop.
How far from the camera should I stand?
Far enough that your hips are clearly in frame while you squat. For most rooms that is two to three metres from the phone.
Is my camera video uploaded?
No. Body tracking runs on your own device with Google's MediaPipe Pose model, and the video never leaves it. There is no account and nothing to install.
Is it free?
Your first run each day is free. For unlimited play there is a $1.99 Day Pass (24 hours) or Pro at $4.99 per month, cancel anytime.
